To provide a powerful experience for participants, both children and adults, which will teach them about:

• Key aspects of British culture, etiquette and country pursuits such as shooting and riding
• Practical experience and skills to enable participants to feel comfortable and confident in British society and in Western society more broadly
• Life in a magnificent Stately Home.

SCOPE

A one week residency in a Stately Home with expert tuition in British etiquette and country pursuits:

• Interactive workshops with the leading expert in British etiquette, covering topics such as British social history, dress codes, table manners, social etiquette, British teas and deportment
• First class tuition in shooting on the estate, covering clay-pigeon shooting, the history and social etiquette associated with shooting and other key aspects of the sport such as dog-handling
• First class tuition in riding, covering all levels of experience, teaching the key elements of riding, horsemanship, grooming and stable care
• Evening activities include fine dining as well as dancing tuition, potentially ballroom and Scottish dancing
• Full access to all of the facilities in the Stately Home and its estate so that participants can experience and learn directly about the aristocratic British lifestyle.

Learning Approach & Key Specialists

• Learning by doing, through the direct experience and under the instruction of experts in each field
• The etiquette tutor is the leading expert in the field who has taught many senior political and business leaders internationally
• The country pursuit tutors are also leaders in their fields
• A Daily Workbook is used to guide each participant on the subjects covered and the key learnings
• Interpreters are PhD level native Chinese speakers with experience in each of the areas being studied.
